내용 요약

Perspective-Taking이 다른 사람의 마음을 정확하게 이해할 수 있도록 돕는다고 가정된다. 하지만 본 논문에서 24개의 실험을 통해 검증한 결과, Perspective-Taking은 다른 사람에 대한 이해 정확도를 높이지 않았으며 오히려 낮추는 것으로 나타났다. Perspective-Taking을 통해 다른 사람의 마음에 대한 추가적인 정보를 얻을 수 있을 때, 이해 정확도가 높아질 것이라고 저자들은 가정하였다. 실험 결과, 다른 사람의 마음에 대한 정보를 직접적으로 얻게 되는 Perspective-Getting을 통해 다른 사람에 대한 이해 정확도가 더 높아지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
