Description :
Professor Sowon Hahan, Yoon Kyung Lee (Ph.D.), and Da Yeong Yoon (Visual Artist and Director at Sanxoro Art Studio) recently presented a workshop at Barnard College, exploring the intersection of Psychology, Artificial Intelligence, and Design.
During the workshop, participants learned how to create mobile app prototypes using cutting-edge generative AI tools. The session began with an introduction to MidJourney, where attendees transformed their unique ideas into visually stunning mobile app characters. Following this, the focus shifted to Figma, an intuitive design platform that enabled students to build prototypes without any prior coding experience.
The hands-on sessions provided a practical exploration of AI's potential to revolutionize digital creativity. Students discovered how to seamlessly incorporate AI-generated images into their designs and honed their skills in crafting effective AI prompts in Midjourney. Additionally, they delved into techniques for refining large language model prompts to align with their creative visions, ensuring their designs accurately conveyed desired aesthetics and emotions.
This collaborative workshop highlighted the power of AI in design and offered students the tools and inspiration to bring their creative ideas to application. Whether crafting digital artwork, developing illustrations, or building functional app prototypes, participants gained invaluable insights into leveraging AI for real-world applications.
