Her research, ‘Empathic AI: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Computational Empathy for Understanding and Enhancing Human-AI Interaction’, has implemented a multidisciplinary approach to computational empathy for understanding and enhancement of human-artificial intelligence interactions. And it has shown remarkable achievements in various domains, especially in the implementation of large language models (LLMs), coaching robots, AI-based psychotherapy, and AI empathy evaluation indicators.

Her study has presented the direction of artificial intelligence research bringing great transformations to society and the economy and have shown the role of psychology in the development of human-centered technologies. Yoon Kyung's paper gave direction of technology through the multidisciplinary approach and practical development of emotional science, cognitive science, and artificial intelligence.
